Highlights of Enchanted Valley Carnival 2015

Three days of amazing electronic dance music and over 80 artists from all over the world, making you groove to the best music EDM has to offer. Yes, we are talking about The Bacardi Enchanted Valley Carnival, commonly known as EVC or BEVC, which was held from 18-20 December 2015 at Amba Valley.

The festival consisted of five stages for their respective genres:

Cosmos Stage (Main Stage) – Hardstyle, Future House, Big Beat, Electronica, Commercial
Pyro Stage – Techno, Trance
AKVA Stage – Underground techno and progressive trance
Terra Stage – Live and Indie music
Aero Stage – Deep Techno, Progressive Trance

Here’s our comprehensive day by day review:

Day 1

The evening began with Pratyul Joshi who took control over the Terra stage at around 2pm and set the right mood for the rest of the evening. He played some mind boggling tunes which surely made the crowd go crazy. The Pyro Stage featured the Armada stage and was taken into control by Aerro around 5pm. He dropped some of his amazing tracks like Meteorite, Midnight and also played his remix of Gold Skies by Sander Van Doorn, DVBBS and Martin Garrix.

The AKVA stage featured the Soma stage which began at 5pm by Chromaderma followed by Spinal Fusion and Avalon. The Cosmos stage started off with Rivitz at around 5pm which was followed by Sound Avatar. Indian artists Bass Rani | Nucleya raised the envelope with their performances. The dubstep/electro house star played some insane tracks like Little lotto, In my heart, Cum fu and many more

The crowd went mad when the progressive house/electro house star Thomas Gold took over the stage. He played some of his famous tracks like Beast, Sing 2 me, Remember and also dropped his latest remix of Souls by Borgeous.

We then experienced two hours of straight head banging hardstyle when Bass Modulators followed by the awaited headliner of day 1- Noise Controllers took over the stage. With sheer jumping and head banging, the two hours were just magical.

Noisecontrollers surely proved why he is a rare breed of pure creativity that has thrived in the world of Hardstyle for almost a decade. The contagious and addictive signature sound of Noisecontrollers based on the foundations of high quality production and an unending ambition to master the depths of hardstyle was clearly on display.

Day 2

After such a superb start, the momentum kept going in Day 2. After a good night night’s rest the people were energized and were looking forward towards the promising line-up of Day 2. The day began around 12pm with Samved taking control over the Terra stage. He made sure that rest of the evening would be sick for all. The Pyro stage featured the Full On stage and was taken control by Snow Flakes around 3pm.

The Trance master Ferry Corsten took center stage in the evening. His mesmerizing playlist included tracks like Blacklight, Loops and Tings, Rock your body and many more.

The AKVA stage featured Bullzeye followed by Strongest and GMS. The Cosmos Stage kicked off with Nanok around 3pm. He was followed by another Indian DJ Sartek, who was recently signed by revealed recordings. Sartek showed his immense talent in electro house/techno. Next were a group of three who came around 6pm and created a complete sick atmosphere. Yes, they were the Far East Movement. Dropping their famous tracks like Turn up the love, Like a g6 left us impressed but it was the brilliant crowd control and live production (making music on the spot with their ipads) which took the crowd by surprise and left us in awe.

The clock hit 7 and it was some time for some house music, the future house legend Oliver Heldens took over the cosmos stage. He started off with Wombass, a new collaboration with Tiesto followed by his remix of Intoxicated by Martin Solveig. The crowd was pretty toked by his performance, shuffling to almost every drop. His playlist also included the famous Bunny dance, Gecko, Koala and many more.

It was time for the headliner of the day- Fat Boy Slim He started his set with his famous remix of Eat, sleep, rave repeat. Playing some sweet remixes of the Brazilian samba, he completely interacted with the crowd and the craziness did not decrease in any way. Day 2 ended with his famous track Funk Soul Brother.

Day 3

It was the last day and the festival was at full swing. People came out in huge numbers and our expectations were at an all-time high. The day kicked off around 1pm with Best Kept Secret on the Terra stage and gave everyone the right attitude for the rest of the evening.

The Pyro Stage featured the Sci-Tec stage and started off with Stiv Hey around 3pm. Pyro Stage eagerly waited for Techno/House master Dubfire. He nailed his set by playing his top hits like Exit, Agua, Come and Exposed. The AKVA stage started off with Sashanti around 4pm followed by Stefano Richetta and Steve Rachmand.

The Cosmos Stage kicked off with Zenith around 3:30pm and followed by Kerano. He played some brilliant music and the crowd was already in the mood. Then came an Indian DJ who has taken EDM to the global level, signed with the prestigious Spinnin Records, it was Zaeden. His tracklist was amazing and he played his new unreleased song named ‘Yesterday’, a collaboration with Borgeous, which was also his first song after signing with Spinnin Records. It was followed by wonderful performances by Lost Stories and Shaan. We also got to experience the masters of progressive house/electro house Dzeko and Torres. They came into full force and made sure the crowd jumped till the very end

The clock struck 8:30pm and everyone was eagerly waiting in anticipation for the legendary Tiesto to take charge of them. Chants of Tiesto had besieged the main stage and suddenly you could hear the tunes of Split, his collaboration with Chainsmokers. From that point onwards, he took full control. He played some of his famous tracks like Red lights, Secrets, Chemicals, Wombass and many more. It was an absolute delight to watch him. His set came to an end with brilliant fireworks and thus EVC’15 came to a close.
