The festival, being labelled as the Tomorrowland of the Sea, recently announced their exquisite lineup with their headlining acts by none other than Zeds Dead, Armand Van Helden & Pete Tong. Here’s an insight into the headlining artists.
Armand Van Helden
A producer whose success story is one that other artists dream of, from a career capped off by numerous #1 singles, to countless remixes, AVH never ceases to amaze us. What exactly can be said about this legend that hasn’t already. Van Helden worked his way up to stardom through working in the underground, rehabilitating club scene of 1990s New York, eventually going on to become a hit maker and one half of Duck Sauce (along with A-Trak).
This is the first time Armand Van Helden will be back to perform in Asia, in over 10 years.
The man behind moments as vast as “The Funk Phenomena” and “Barbra Streisand” shouldn’t be missed.
Zeds Dead
Zeds Dead are a Canadian electronic music duo that have pushed music production to whole new level. Their genre-bending music separates them from the pack of European DJs. Influenced by dubstep artists such as Skream, Benga and other genres such as hip-hop and classic rock, they are the only artists that produce bass music and have not been bogged down by the big room EDM wave. Get ready to drown yourself in a plethora of bass music.
Pete Tong
A dance music icon and a host to one of the most influential radio shows in the history of dance music. Tong is one of Britain’s most recognised DJs, having gained a large following of fans from his Essential Selection programme. A champion of compiling killer tunes, his taste sits on the right side of the overground and underground music. Been in the industry for over 20 years he has seen it all.
