With the EDM fever showing no signs of subsiding in Asia, Tomorrowland is showing promising signs of setting foot on the famous shores of Thailand.
Chatri Tungthiankul, managing director for World Planet Entertainment, explains the rationale in the logistics of importing one of the world’s biggest festivals to Thailand :
We have to prepare a venue that can host up to 450,000 attendees. We will also have to be ready to facilitate the journey for festival-goers from other countries, specifically at the immigration control, because when people travel to the festival in other countries – Belgium, Brazil and the US – their personalized festival bracelet does all the work, including that of a passport.
Thailand is no stranger to the EDM arena, already having hosted a Road to Ultra Thailand last year.
If a Thailand edition of the festival does indeed happen, it would add another cherry to Tomorrowland’s spicy Asian cake, having done Tomorrowland UNITE in India last year, and this year in Japan too.
Judging by the never dying craze in Asia for annual Belgium pilgrimages, Tomorrowland Thailand doesn’t seem like a distant dream.

In other news, Tomorrowland‘s flagship festival kicks off in just a couple of weeks in Boom, Belgium. 🙂
