Ultra Music Festival is one of the biggest names in the electronic music world. After successfully launching in the US, the organisers spread their wings internationally reaching the shores of countries like Croatia, Brasil, Chile, Argentina, South Korea, Japan, and many more countries around the world.
As the 2016 edition of Ultra Europe came to a close last weekend, the 3-day festival was reduced to only 2 days due to bad weather conditions.
Despite this, there was no shortage of entertainment and world class performances by the likes of Martin Garrix, Deadmau5, David Guetta and many others made the festival extravagant. But what actually stood was Hardwell’s set for a very surprising reason.
Recently Niantic and Nintendo together released am Augmented Reality Mobile Game called Pokemon Go and it has since then taken over the entire world! It’s the hottest topic across countries, it is all over the internet and on Sunday the Dutch Maestro showed Ultra Europe that he too is a big fan of Pokemon, in his own unique way.
Much to everyone’s surprise as Hardwell was nearing the end of his set, he dropped the theme song of the world famous anime, Pokemon. He may not be catching ’em all, but he definitely caught the festival’s limelight.
Watch Hardwell end his set with the Pokemon theme song below.
