Just in: Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) to hit India in 2017

Hard to believe, but it’s true!

Pasquale Rotella has confirmed plans of taking Electric Daisy Carnival (EDC) to INDIA and we are absolutely stoked about it!

In a recent interview with CNBC, Pasquale Rotella, Insomniac founder and CEO, confirmed that Insomniac events plan to expand EDC and take it a whole new international level by expanding to the fast growing EDM culture of India.

“We’re growing every day. Not just in the United States, but we’re growing internationally. Next year we’re going to Japan, India… Our 20 year anniversary is in 5 weeks in Vegas, and we’re already thinking about the next 10 years. What we’re going to be doing and how we’re going to use technology to enhance the experience – it’s an exciting time for festivals.”

EDC is one of the biggest electronic dance music festivals in the world at the moment. In 2015, the flagship event in Las Vegas drew more than 400,000 over 3-days (134,000 per day).

Apart from expansion plans, Rotella also talked about the growth of different genres over the past few years and the popularity of the dance music events worldwide and the taking technology new and higher limits

Fill your EDC saving jar with the moolahs because 2017 isn’t very far off! Until then…
