After enrapturing the Bengaluru audiences with an adrenaline laden exhibition of dance music last year by treating them to the tunes of Dubstep icons Nero and Rusko, The Smirnoff Experience is back with an absolute bang this season.
Teaming up with dance music giants Sunburn, the Smirnoff team has managed to congregate a line-up boasting of superstar names like Australian duo Knife Party and Italian electro house and dance-punk formation The Bloody Beetroots for its 2015 edition to be held in Mumbai on the 17th of April.
The two dance music stalwarts will be in company of India’s finest talent, with artists like Sandunes, DJ SA, Dualist Inquiry and Kris Correya. What makes the festival in question an absolutely unmissable is the perfect blend of dance music heavyweights and fine, young Indian talent.
The Bloody Beetroots, aka Sir Bob Cornelius Rifo is best known for his black comic-book-hero mask appearance at his gigs and upbeat, energetic and groovy tunes which you can dance to. It is relatively a tad heavier to the traditional rock songs and has a punk feel to it. The Italian has traced an upward trajectory in the dance music fraternity ever since his first hit track, Warp 1.9 alongside Steve Aoki and amassed an amazing fan following after the release of this track.
On the other hand, Knife Party are the routine mainstage headliners at the biggest EDM festivals in the world – be it Ultra Miami, EDC Las Vegas or TomorrowLand, this Australian duo has had a taste of all these events. Coincidentally, they were introduced to the fanatic Indian dance music followers in the previous edition of the annual Sunburn Goa festival, where they were headlining the mainstage. Quite unsurprisingly, they will be well aware of what to expect from the Indian crowd. Capping off this luscious line-up are India’s leading and most promising artists as mentioned above.
If you are planning on attending this festival (which you ideally should), then you can grab your tickets right HERE. The price of an Early Entry Pass is priced at 2250 INR, whereas a General Access Pass will cost you a slightly higher 2750 INR. Below are some pictures which give you glimpses of what went down at Bangalore in the previous edition of this showpiece event which will all but convince you to be a part of the revelry this time around!
