Deadmau5 announces “5 years of mau5” Remix EP

Joel Zimmerman or deadmau5- has announced an upcoming Remix EP

The Album Art of “5 years of mau5”

The extended play will feature tracks of deadmau5 remixed by various artists who happen to be close to the mau5trap label. It has been revealed that these artists include the likes of Dillon Francis, Madeon, Eric Prydz, Botnek, Nero and more who will add their own licks to the most popular tracks that Zimmerman brought about in the past five years.

Earlier this week, finally taking a break from his posts about the legal scuffle with Disney, deadmau5 posted on his website that the new EP will be “coming real soon.”

“5 years of mau5. Remixes by Chuckie, Dillon Francis, Nero, Eric Prydz, Nero, Madeon, Pig & Dan, Botnik and more,” he added.

From what it seems after having a look at the album art made available, the album is very likely to feature remixes of tracks from 4×4=12, > Album Title Goes Here <, For Lack Of A Better Name and Random Album Title. However, no official track list has, as yet, been released.

The album has been reported to be a double album, which means that it’ll have loads more of music than what we usually have in a standard album.

While Nero’s “Ghosts n’ Stuff” remix venture is believed to be a sure shot inclusion in the album, Dilon Francis’ remix of “Some Chords” is also confirmed to be a part of the album. Francis played this remix in his set of this year’s Mad Decent Block Party on August 31st.

What remains to be a mystery is the fact whether the EP would feature two tracks by Nero, or was it an error to mention them twice in the aforementioned list by deadmau5. The Canadian Producer DJ is always full of surprises after all!

The official date for the release has been kept on the 25th of November.
